If you are determined to work for central government schools and impart education to children, you must be looking forward to applying and appearing for the CTET exam 2025. It will be the 21st edition of the CTET exam this year in 2025, and here are all the details of its important dates, registration process, and eligibility criteria.
A Brief on CTET Exam
Central Teacher Eligibility Test, or CTET is a national-level exam for selecting and recruiting teachers in Central Government schools across India. The CBSE board conducts this exam, with the pursuit of ensuring that the chosen teachers have the requisite knowledge and aptitude so that they can provide high-quality learning to students.
CTET is an offline exam, conducted twice, every year. However, to apply for this examination, candidates have to make registration online. CTET exam includes 2 papers, candidates can apply for either of the two or both. Paper 1 is typically conducted for the primary level (Class 1-5), and paper 2 is for the secondary level (Class 6-8).

Registration Process for CTET Exam 2025
Here is a step-by-step guide for the CTET Exam 2025 registration.
Step 1: Go to the official website of CTET and click on the “Apply for CTET” link available therein.
Step 2: Head to “New Registration”.
Step 3: Go through the terms and conditions detail, and further click on acknowledgement to proceed.
Step 4: Fill out the information as prompted. Typically, you have to register with your name, phone number, and email address, as those would act as the medium to receive all information directly from the exam conductors.
Step 5: Now, you have to fill out the application form for the CTET exam 2025 with all the details, as asked for. In this section, you will be asked for your personal information like name, age, gender, nationality, etc., academic credentials, employment status, preference of language, and so forth.
Step 6: Then, you have to upload the necessary documents, such as your photograph and signature. Make sure you upload the documents in the stipulated format and size.
Step 7: Once done, enter the security pin as given, read and click all the checkboxes, and hit the “Upload” button.
Step 8: Further, proceed to pay the application fee for the CTET exam 2025. For that, you have to click on “Pay Examination Fee”, choose the payment option, i.e., real-time e-challan or online, and tap the “Proceed” button. Finally, pay the application fee to get the confirmation for your CTET exam 2025. Keep the confirmation page/ e-challan for future reference.
[Application Fee: For general candidates, Rs.1000 for 1 paper and Rs.1,200 for 2. For reserved category candidates, Rs.500 for 1 paper, and Rs.600 for 2.]
Eligibility Criteria for CTET Exam 2025
