Conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) every year on a rotational basis, the CAT exam is computer-based, assessing your quantitative aptitude, verbal aptitude, logical reasoning, and data interpretation. 

In 2025, IIM Kozhikode is likely to conduct the CAT exam across 155 cities. Typically, the exam is held on the last Sunday of every November, so 30th November is the expected exam date for this year.

Registration Process for CAT Exam 2025

Here’s a step-by-step guide to register for the CAT Exam in 2025. 

Step 1: Visit the official website by clicking here. 

Step 2: Tap on “New Registration”, create your user ID by filling up your name, email address, phone number, etc., and hit the “Generate OTP” button. 

Step 3: Once you receive the OTP on your given number and email, use it to verify your registration. Hereby, you will get your user ID to proceed with the further application. 

Step 4: Now, log in to your account using your credentials and start filling out the CAT application form for 2025. Here, you have to enter your personal and academic details, like nationality, date of birth, age, parents’ names, category, last qualification, marks, employment status, and so forth.  

Step 5: The next step is to upload all necessary documents as asked for, such as your photograph, signature, mark sheets, degree certificate, work experience certificate and category certificate (if applicable). Make sure you upload the documents in the stipulated format and size.   

Step 6: Then, you have to select your preferred MBA course, the IIMs you wish to study from, and your preferred exam centre for CAT 2025. You can choose up to 4 cities to appear for the CAT exam and the authority will allot the center accordingly. 

Step 7: Finally, choose your preferred mode of payment (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking) and proceed to pay your application fee for the CAT exam 2025. Keep the payment receipt for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for CAT Exam 2025   

Below are the eligibility criteria for the CAT exam in 2025.  

1. You must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognized university to be eligible for the CAT exam in 2025. 

2. If you are in the final year of your graduate degree course or are awaiting the results, you do stand eligible to apply for the CAT exam! 

3. You need to have a minimum of 50% marks in your bachelor’s degree course. However, for reserved category candidates, there’s a relaxation of 5%. 

4. If you have any professional degree such as CS, CA, ICWA, or FCAI, you will also be eligible to apply for the CAT exam 2025.
