CTET Exam Paper 1 Syllabus
Language 1 Syllabus: Comprehension and Pedagogy of Language Development (Learning and acquisition, principles of language teaching, language functions, ways children use it as a tool, role of grammar, language difficulties, remedial teaching, etc.)
Language 2 Syllabus: Comprehension and Pedagogy of Language Development (same as language 1).
Child Development & Pedagogy Syllabus: Concepts and principles of child development, the influence of heredity and social surroundings, critical perspectives on the construct of intelligence, multi-dimensional intelligence, language and thoughts, gender as a construct, concept of inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, cognition and emotions, motivation, and factors contributing to learning.
Mathematics Syllabus: Geometry, Numbers and BODMAS, Shapes and Spatial understanding, weight, time, volume, patterns, money, and data handling, the language of mathematics, the community of mathematics, error analysis and related aspects, valuation via formal and informal methods, and more.
Environmental Studies Syllabus: Family & friends, food, shelter, water, travel, things people make and do, the significance of environmental studies, learning principles, concepts and scopes, experimentation and practical work, activities, scopes and relations to science and social science, and so forth.
CTET Paper 2 Syllabus
Language 1 Syllabus: Language comprehension and pedagogy of language development.
Language 2 Syllabus: Language comprehension and pedagogy of language development.
Child Development and Pedagogy Syllabus: Child development, concepts of inclusive education and acknowledging students with special needs, learning and pedagogy (including alternative conceptions of learning among children).
Mathematics & Science Syllabus: Number system, negative numbers, fractions, algebra, ratio and proportion, geometry, understanding 2D and 3D shapes, symmetry, construction, data handling, logical thinking, natural phenomena, materials of daily use, natural resources, electric currents and circuits, magnets, nature and structure of science, discovery, innovation, and other.
