The Story of Sam & His Primebook: Upholding The Importance of Digital Learning in Education!
Here’s the story of Sam, a 16-year-old boy from Bijulia, Jharkhand, who has proved that hard work and fortitude can certainly lead us to our goals! Here’s how Primebook became his helping hand in digital learning.
A Brief About Sam
Sam Das Mahato, he is, – A student of Class 10, soon to appear for his board exam from Shri Mahaveer Ji +2 Uchcha Vidyalaya, Bijulia, Jharkhand.
With an aspiration to become an Indian Army officer and serve the nation, this little boy, coming from an underprivileged socio-economic background, has been transforming his academic challenges into achievements.
Despite his financial limitations at home, Sam never misses going to school because he can learn a lot there and talk to his peers about various things in life. Being an inquisitive kind of child, Sam loves to study outside of his school syllabus, especially computer science. As he puts forward, “In today’s time, computer science is very important.” (translated in English)
He is passionate about studying Hindi literature too, and most often, spends his time, surfing the internet, learning about new things, and computing. He loves helping out people with various things on the web. For instance, in the past year, he has filled out online forms for many who aren’t able to do so on their own.
Sam’s Digital Learning Experience Before Using Primebook
As Sam confirms, he wasn’t able to unleash his potential to the fullest when Primebook wasn’t by his side. He faced various difficulties studying from the single phone his family owns!
Sam struggled to “understand many lessons in his school classes and couldn’t even learn later” (translated in English), because he didn’t have proper access to online content that would help him comprehend those complex topics.
He wasn’t able to “see the entire class properly when attending online classes” with his parent’s phone; couldn’t read his lessons accurately; and couldn't do his school projects with utmost efficiency and creativity.
Sam’s Digital Learning Experience With Primebook
With Primebook at his aid for almost a year now, which he pet-named “Pocket Mobile”, because “it’s easier to carry” (translated in English), as he says, Sam is able to overcome his learning difficulties and focus on his academics much better.
By using Primebook, Sam started to leverage multimedia lessons for a better grasp of knowledge. Even if he misses out on his classroom lessons, he can study them later with the available information online, at his convenience.
He has learned many new things about computing, such as keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste contents or open a specific window on the laptop screen. In fact, he aced his computing skills so well that sometimes he uses these skills to have a little fun with his friends; “asking them to open Primebook after he had secretly locked the cursor.” (translated in English)
Today, Sam is proud to share his milestone of becoming the topper in his class 9 final exams while he just managed to pass class 8. Such remarkable academic progress within only a year is a testament to his continuous efforts and ‘never give up’ attitude, but as he humbly states, “It was all possible because of Primebook.” (translated from Hindi to English).
